This one had a long gestation period—let me explain.

I acquired the rights to An American Tail back in the spring of 2023. Around that same time, I launched an internship program to teach the art of film music engraving, which brought in a wave of enthusiastic applicants. We wrapped up typesetting by late summer.

But then I hit pause on the project to make space for John Powell’s How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World—his final score in the trilogy.

Rather than jump straight back to An American Tail, I pivoted to The ’Burbs, which had been waiting even longer. Somewhere along the way, I had the brilliant (and slightly overambitious) idea to pair The ’Burbs with Air Force One for a summer 2024 dual release. That pairing eventually got pushed to September.

While waiting on the printers, I circled back to An American Tail to finalize the proofing and cleanup. I had hoped for a Christmas 2024 release, but Disney/Pixar approval delays on Up forced another shift so I could consolidate print orders.

In the meantime—fall 2024—I pivoted again, this time to Ghostbusters, adding two previously unreleased cues. And since I had access to the Bernstein Collection at USC, I also decided to publish The Magnificent Seven.

All of which is to say: if it seemed like there were no new releases since September 2024, now you know why. And yes—suddenly, three new titles are available for summer 2025.
